About Altech Anodizing
For over 23 years Altech Anodizing has been providing top quality, fast, and reliable anodizing service to clients from many different industries throughout North America. Altech Anodizing works with machine shops and fabrication companies who create building products for the construction industry, architects and designers, as well as automotive components to name a few.
For around four years Ed Bryant, President at Altech Anodizing, has been calling on Kambo’s electrical team to help them look after his facility’s electrical needs and to proactively ensure the site is in line with electrical best practices.
The Kambo electrical team has gradually overhauled the electrical system at Altech Anodizing, improving electrical safety, and performance levels. Kambo’s team installed custom racking through the site’s production line with overhead power drops which are less prone to damage and corrosion than the former pit wiring.
The facility had experienced problems with brownouts – often referred to as voltage slumps. To remedy the problem Kambo’s electrical team installed a new 480V service to balance the electrical load – resulting in less frustration and smoother operations for the team at Altech Anodizing.
The team at Altech Anodizing rely on complex industrial equipment including power-intensive tank heaters to complete the anodizing process. Electrical system downtime or failure can come at a large expense to the business as reheating the tanks can be particularly time-consuming.
Ed appreciates that Kambo’s team understands that it is critical to respond quickly to electrical issues and therefore always has a technician on-site within an hour for emergency repairs to get the job done properly.
