Park Place Seniors Living is a group of family-owned and operated senior care facilities that provide individualized care for seniors throughout BC and Alberta. Upon assessing multiple locations for Park Place, Kambo built the business cases and identified two locations to prioritize for a retrofit based on safety and overall return on investment. A key factor influencing these projects was the safety of residents, particularly around the outdoor parking areas that were experiencing sub-optimal light levels.
The two locations we selected for upgrades were Mountain Lake in Nelson, BC and Lodge on 4th in Ladysmith, BC. Kambo replaced outdated technology in areas across both facilities ranging from common areas and washrooms to resident rooms, and even outdoor lighting. These LED lighting retrofits generated projected annual energy savings amounting to over $24,800 for both locations, which translated into a payback period of only 1.2 years. When considering the strong financial case for these projects paired with the added benefit of improved safety for residents, the decision to commit to this energy efficiency upgrade became a no-brainer.

We worked with Park Place to coordinate the installation around the schedules of their residents to ensure minimal disruption was caused to their routines.
